Dr. Nebart Avutswa is the Managing Partner at Oguda & Associates, bringing over 20 years of regional expertise in audit, financial management, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance. As a Fellow of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (FCPA) and a Certified Secretary (CS), he is widely respected for his leadership in audit innovation, quality assurance, and public sector accountability. Licensed under Practicing Certificate No. P/2166, holding a composite category C license which constitute the firm's three core audit categories (A, T, M).

CPA John Kariithi Mwangi

Partner in charge of Quality Assurance

CPA(K), MBA, CPS(K), Bachelor of Business Administration

John is an audit & tax expert and a part-time partner at Oguda & Associates. He is well versed with the International Standards on Auditing as well as the International Financial Reporting Standards. MA Mwangi has spent several years auditing organizations and companies in the profit and not for profit sectors and has extensive experience in audit of organizations in the NGO, financial services, SACCOs and commercial sectors. He holds a Masters of Business Administration from University of Nairobi (UoN) and is also the head of internal audit function at the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya.

Kevin Ogoro

Kevin Ogoro is a highly accomplished Data, Risk, and Underwriting Lead with over a decade of specialized experience in risk management and data science across East Africa's financial services sector. He brings proven expertise directly applicable to developing robust IFRS 9 Expected Credit Loss (ECL) models. As a Data Analytics Consultant from January 2017 to August 2021, he established himself as a seasoned IFRS 9 expert, directly engaging with Banks, Microfinance Institutions, and SACCOs over four years. His academic background in Actuarial Science with IT provides a robust quantitative and analytical foundation.

CPA Julius Mutuku Maweu

Julius is a Practicing Accountant licensed by ICPAK. He holds CPA (K), and Bachelor of Science in Accounting from USIU. He has over 20 years' experience in accounting, financial management, human resources management, procurement and auditing among others. Julius has extensive experience in External audits and internal audits. Julius is a tax expert and a part-time partner at Oguda & Associates. He has more than 14 years of post – qualification experience in the audit of various industries spanning from SACCO sector, transport sector, ICT sector, Real Estate, Legal and Consultancy, Manufacturing, mining and oil sector among others. Prior to joining Oguda & Associates, Julius spent over 10 years at some of the leading Saccos in Kenya, where he is the CEO managing a portfolio of over 3 billion.

Judith Musimbi

Audit Manager, Assurance

Judith is an Audit manager at Oguda & Associates with over 15 years' experience in audit and companies in the profit and not for profit sectors and has extensive experience in audit of SACCOs, NGOs, financial services and commercial sectors. She is well versed with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and International Standards on Auditing (ISAs). Having worked in managerial position for Tambua farmers Sacco, Vihiga county ward manager, Compassion international- Museywa CDC finance and audit, SP Negandhi & Co. Accountants and Auditors. She is currently finalizing her Certified Public Accountant of Kenya (CPA(K)) examinations.

CPA Maxwel Onzere Oleve

CPA Maxwell is an Audit manager and the head of business advisory department at Oguda & Associates with over 6 years' experience in both audit and accounting. He is a holder of Bachelor of Commerce in Finance option from Kenya College of Accountancy (KCA) University and is an Associate member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK). CPA Maxwell has a vast experience in both audit and accounting having worked in senior positions for Koditex Consulting Limited, Siero and Associates, Ronalds LLP among others. He is well conversant with Business Processing Reengineering and in addition he is a certified Xero & Zoho accounting Systems and a trainer in the same regard including Quickbooks and Wingubox Payroll management Software.
